The days are long. Sometimes the evenings are too. Our guests, just like us, just can’t get enough of summer. It is there to be enjoyed to the full. On balmy summer evenings our terrace is the preferred spot. The atmosphere is buoyant and inspired – full of endorphins after a day filled with experiences.
In the evening you want to dine in your hotel. As a guest in our hotel, 3 to 4 times a week you can enjoy traditional cuisine. We put together 2 menus with a choice of options for our Summer menu (*.pdf download), where you choose in the morning at breakfast time, then enjoy yourself on our flower-filled terrace, or in the ‘Stüberl’. Just relax and enjoy being indulged in the evening.
Summer is full of surprises. No two days are alike. Our guests arrive and live for the moment. They explore the inspiring mountains with their summits, lakes, Alpine pastures and paths. Sometimes you head out on excursions to Salzburg, Zell am See or Kitzbühel. Then you can head to the bike park, have a go at archery, golf or sailing... summer really is variety packed.
A hiking and cycling holiday in the Skicircus
A true trump card up your sleeve - the Joker Card. With it, during the summer season you can make the most of all the cable cars and lifts that are open Saalbach-Hinterglemm free of charge, and enjoy free entry to popular attractions in the region, such as Käpt’n Hook Adventure Pool in Saalbach, the End of the Valley Train in Hinterglemm, the Local History and Ski Museum, the tennis facilities in Saalbach und Hinterglemm etc. You can also use the Wanderbus service in Saalbach-Hinterglemm as well as the public transport system throughout the Pinzgau region, free of charge. There are many other inclusive services and attractive discounts with bonus partners throughout Salzburgerland too.

Summer in Saalbach-Hinterglemm
Granted, we are proud of where we live. But we’ll be really honest - Glemmtal is genuinely fantastic. Where else can you enjoy 400 km of hiking trails and 400 km of very well signposted cycle routes and trails? The versatility provided by the biggest bike region in Austria covers offers for downhillers, Enduro riders, freeriders and your typical cyclist– with or without electric motor. Even children enjoy hiking here– with the Kids Hiking Challenge. Or enjoy the adventure playgrounds, swimming, and at the head of the valley where there so many attractions etc.
But do you know what the very best thing is? Your very own adventure starts from the hotel doorstep. You can hop straight into the saddle or lace up your hiking shoes straight away – a variety of paths proceed from the Hotel Eder Michaela (and back again of course) – or board the Wanderbus, which is not far from the hotel, and get to your preferred cable car.
